If you are as obsessed with the off the shoulder trend as me, or never thought you could wear a certain trend, this post is for you. The off the shoulder/cold shoulder trend came out last year and I'll confess, I was leery to jump on the bandwagon.
In the perfect world of fashion everything fits right and everything flatters your figure flawlessly. Well, we know that world doesn’t exist and as a blogger and personal stylist I always preach that the best clothes for you are the clothes that flatter your figure the most.
That means some trends you may have to pass on regardless of how cute they are because they do absolutely nothing for your figure.
I am currently in love with the off the shoulder AKA cold shoulder movement but it took a few mixes & matches to find a shirt that flattered my figure & also showed off my shoulders correctly. As a sometimes hourglass, sometimes inverted triangle shaped woman I've learned its all about proportions. The right proportions in your clothes will give you a picturesque silhouette & the wrong proportions in your clothes will make you look too big here, too small here, uneven & all other unflattering body descriptions. So, flares were the perfect answer for me to balance out the top heaviness this off the shoulder top could have potentially created & I am oh so pleased with the results.
It's important to know small wardrobe tricks like this to make your figure as flattering as possible & I plan to share my style tips even more with the creation of my wardrobe consultation business coming soon. After giving wardrobe advice through a some makeovers & a few personal consultations, I’ll be launching my services soon to help the average woman who just needs a little wardrobe assistance, advice & support. I'l be giving tips, tricks and everything in between on a one-on-one basis & I'm beyond excited to start this new journey. If you want to be notified when one-on-one services start email me HERE, & if you want to shop some off the shoulder looks click HERE .
